Brock Lesnar: Respect is for losers

Props:Yahoo Sports

Quoteworthy:

“I didn’t have any respect for Randy [Couture], I didn’t have any respect for Heath [Herring], I don’t have any respect for Frank. There’s going to be a winner, there’s going to be a loser. As soon as you step in and have any respect for your opponent, I think you become the loser a hell of a lot sooner.”

UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar dismisses the existence of respect for the opponents within his division despite already holding a submission loss to Interim Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. Lesnar and “Murr” will clash in a title unification bout at UFC 100 that will also determine just how far the former NCAA and WWE wrestler has come in his still-young MMA career. If he manages to best Mir on July 11, there is a list of up-and-coming 265-pounders who are also waiting for their shot. One thing we can count on is them not getting any respect from the pasty-face goliath.

  • ABSOLUTELY WRONG… in no way shape or form does respecting your opponent make you a loser. Brock is obviously not a real martial artist, he is just a bully. I hope he gets subbed again.
