UFC president Dana White announced via Twitter that rising lightweights Edson Barboza and Evan Dunham will square off at UFC 146.

The undefeated Barboza (10-0) will be out to collect his fourth consecutive “Fight of the Night” bonus when he takes on Dunham. In his most recent bout at UFC 142, Barboza also recorded one of the most amazing knockouts in UFC history when he defeated Terry Etim by spinning wheel kick at UFC 142. Barboza also holds wins over Mike Lullo, Anthony Njokuani and Ross Pearson.

Dunham (13-2) will be making his seventh appearance with the UFC where he has a 6-2 record. He began his MMA career with 11 straight wins before dropping back-to-back bouts to Sean Sherk and Melvin Guillard. Dunham has gone on to rebounded from those losses by winning his last two fights against Shamar Bailey and Nik Lentz.

UFC 146 is the Memorial Day weekend event scheduled for May 26th in Las Vegas. The event is expected to feature the heavyweight title fight between champion Junior Dos Santos and challenger Alistair Overeem. In addition, a middleweight clash between C.B. Dollaway and Jason “Mayhem” Miller is also set for the card.
