Another day, another fight announced for UFC on FOX 3. This time flyweights get the nod as verbal agreements are in place for Louis Gaudinot to face new newcomer John Lineker.
Gaudinot (5-2) returns to his natural flyweight division after recently competing as a bantamweight on Team Bisping of The Ultimate Fighter 14. He defeated Paul McVeigh in his opening fight on the show but was submitted by Dustin Pague in the quarterfinal round. In the show’s finale Gaudinot suffered a technical knockout loss to Johnny Bedford. Prior to TUF 14, Gaudinot captured the Ring of Combat flyweight title in 2010.
Lineker (19-5) will make his UFC debut riding a 13 fight winning streak. He has recorded 8 wins by knockout and 3 wins by submission during his career. In his most recent bout, Lineker earned a split decision win over Iliarde Sabino Belo dos Santos at Jungle Fight 32.
UFC on FOX 3 takes place on May 5th from the ZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Lightweights Jim Miller and Nate Diaz will anchor the card in a five round main event.
