UFC 144 Weigh-in Results – Edgar and Henderson make weight, Rampage overweight
by Tim on February 25, 2012
UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and challenger Ben Henderson both successfully made weight in advance of their title bout at UFC 144. They both weighed in at 154 pounds and are now set to square off in the main event of the card which takes place from the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
Unfortunately, co-main event participant Quinton “Rampage” Jackson weighed in at 211 pounds which is 5 pounds over the limit for light heavyweights. His fight will continue as planned against Ryan Bader but Jackson will be fined 20% of his purse. There may have been a bit of foreshadowing in the Dana White’s second video blog when he asked Jackson how much he weighed and “Rampage” relied that you don’t want to know. Jackson admitted to having a difficult time during his training camp.
