The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that their third event on Fox television will showcase four bouts on its main card.
UFC President Dana White said it best himself, “For our third card on FOX, we have four great fights!”. Headlining the card will be a dynamic lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Nate Diaz. Both fighters will be looking to position themselves for a title shot in a five round affair.
The rest of the main card includes a heavyweight clash between Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson. Both fighters are coming off of huge knockout wins in their most recent bouts. Former welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck will take on the fast rising Johny Hendricks. Hendricks is looking to take another step up in the crowded 170-pound division while Koscheck looks prove that he is deserving of another title shot. The final bout on the main card features middleweight submission specialist Rousimar Palhares taking on the versatile Alan Belcher.
UFC on Fox 3 take place on May 5th from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ. The main card will kick off on Fox television at 8:00pm ET.
